As a valued member of the Crouch Kayak Club (CKC), you'll enjoy exclusive access to the excellent facilities at Burnham Sailing Club (BSC), ideally situated on the quay beside the River Crouch.
Our floating pontoon provides easy, year-round access to the water so no muddy feet!
Whether you're new to kayaking or an experienced paddler, CKC offers a varied programme of club paddles, day trips and camping adventures. It's the perfect opportunity to explore new waterways, develop your skills and build confidence on the water.
Our experienced coaches and friendly members are always on hand to offer support, guidance and encouragement, making CKC a welcoming club for paddlers of all abilities.

Welcome Back!
It's wonderful to have you re-joining the
Crouch Kayak Club (CKC)
for another year.
To renew your membership, you'll first need to complete the Burnham Sailing Club (BSC) membership form and pay your BSC subscription directly. This fee provides access to all the excellent facilities and benefits offered by BSC. Please note that CKC does not receive any of these funds.
CKC also incurs its own operating costs, including insurance, Paddle UK affiliation, pool hire and the purchase and maintenance of club equipment. To help cover these costs, we ask all kayak members to pay an
annual CKC subscription of £22,
payable directly to CKC. Details of how to make this payment can be found when you log in to your
MemberMojo account.
Wednesday-Only Membership
If you are already an On the Water Member of BSC, you can join our club-led Wednesday evening paddles by becoming a Wednesday-Only Member at no additional CKC membership cost.
Please note that Wednesday-Only Members are not eligible for discounted club boat hire.

CKC uses MemberMojo to manage member information and keep everyone informed about club activities, events and important kayaking updates.

New Membership Application
The Crouch Kayak Club (CKC) extends a warm welcome to both experienced paddlers and those who are new to kayaking.
To join CKC, please note the following membership requirements:
- Members must be 18 years of age or over.
- All CKC members must also hold an On the Water membership with Burnham Sailing Club (BSC). Social membership alone does not meet this requirement.
To begin your application, simply click the New Member Application button. This will take you to our secure MemberMojo membership system, where we manage all member registrations and information.
Once your CKC application has been accepted, you will receive a welcome email containing a link to the Burnham Sailing Club membership page so you can complete your BSC membership.
Your BSC subscription provides access to the excellent facilities and benefits offered by Burnham Sailing Club. Please note that CKC does not receive any of these funds.

Equipment Hire & Kayak Storage
CKC has a dedicated equipment store within the grounds of Burnham Sailing Club (BSC), offering a wide range of modern kayaks and paddling equipment available for hire by CKC members and visiting guests.
Equipment Hire
To hire equipment for private paddles, you must:
- Be a current CKC member.
- Hold a current Paddle UK membership.
- Have your paddling ability assessed as suitable by a CKC coach or club leader.
Please do not remove any club equipment without prior permission.
Important: Any equipment used outside of club-led paddles must be recorded in the equipment log before it is taken and updated on its return.
Member Kayak Storage
CKC offers storage space for members' own kayaks, subject to availability and the following criteria:
- You have been an active, full CKC member for a minimum of six months.
- After six months, you will be added to the storage waiting list.
- You continue to remain an active CKC member.
- You hold a current Paddle UK Water Membership.
- If you are inactive within the club for a continuous period of three months during the paddling season, your storage space may be reallocated to another member, and you may be asked to remove your kayak.
